At this point I'm not worried, but as a current Ann Arbor resident, just an fyi: Prohm is beginning to generate a lot of smoke with the insiders up here.
Well, Prohm is #2, behind Donovan, on this list:

Prohm doesn't come with the sexy tournament run that guys like Shaka Smart do, but I'd rather have the guy who pounds out non-bubble bids in a brutal conference with regularity. His recruiting has been good given his location: Talen Horton-Tucker was barely outside the top 50 and the year before Lindell Wigginton was 35th, and both guys were coming out of high school—Hoiberg's teams were full of transfers. Prohm's not above digging into the transfer market himself, since nobody can avoid it these days. He seems to be a good recruiter.
Prohm's 44, FWIW. His teams have really good offenses, so if he could hold onto Yaklich that could be a thing.

“Sexy tournament run?”

It was just one wasn’t it?
But it was sexy...
The Rams were one of the last four teams invited, and were placed in the First Four against USC for a spot in the main 64-team tournament bracket. VCU defeated USC and then upset the 6th-seeded Georgetown Hoyas and 3rd-seeded Purdue Boilermakers to advance to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history. VCU won 72–71 against Florida State University in overtime to earn the school's first spot in the Elite Eight and subsequently upset the top-seeded University of Kansas 71–61 for its first Final Four appearance. The Rams lost to Butler 70-62 in the semifinal game.

The question becomes does that carry you forever?

Michigan is not a bigger job than Texas btw. (Both shadow of football jobs)

Do they know how bad of a coach he is? He’s destroyed Iowa State basketball. We’re going back to the dark days of cyclone basketball, you know?

Exactly, man we long for the days of Wayne Morgan and GMac when we consistently ended in the top 3rd of the league and played in the NCAA each year.

Yaklich's impact on the defense has been stunning the last 2 years. Maybe he should be Beilein's successor...

If they're not going to call Donovan, then it should be him or Howard. This Moser talk is ridiculous. If you pull out one year, his resume isn't good enough to coach Drake.

They're the same job. Great because you have a name and resources but you're not the program.

Brendan Quinn includes Prohm as one his 4 most likely candidates in an article in The Athletic.

I've seen Prohm's name getting mentioned more and more, likely because their top targets already declined (Brey, Donovan, White) and the media is going down their list. It should be reassuring to cyclone fans that ISU's coach is showing up on these lists due to his ability to recruit and coach players up.

I am not concerned, Prohm just signed his extension spurning interest from Bama his alma mater and decline to even talk to UCLA and really wants to be in Ames with his young family.

If Prohm leaves for Michigan what the hell are we going to do?
It won't happen. If Prohm wasn't interested in going back to his alma mater, I'd be surprised if he leaves for this.

If it did happen, TJ would be Pollards first call, and UNLV would lose another coach before they coached a game there, which would be hilarious.
