Donovan would kill it there.Don't know if he wants to coach college ball again but Billy Donovan could do really well there. I'd be tired of dealing with Russ at a minimum.

Do we fire up the "Prohm to Michigan" thread now?
Yeah I get not wanting to recruit again but he would be a home run there.Donovan would kill it there.
Theres a lot of guys that recruiting is a little easier for at least and Donovan is one of those guys I think. Still plenty of frustrations but he would def do well.Yeah I get not wanting to recruit again but he would be a home run there.
Yep, I'd be surprised if Coach Yak isn't at least named interim coach. Would be easy continuity as he was the "head coach" for their defense which was a major part of their success the past couple years.Wonder if Michigan offers the assistant that is a defensive specialist the job?
FWIW, ISU didn't make his top 7 pre-Michigan commitment.Belien has been sniffing the NBA for a couple of years now, recruiting grind even as successful as he has been is a young mans game. I can see where he's ready for the next challenge.
For the Cyclone benefit slant, if I am Prohm, I am giving Zeb Jackson a call today.

Dream job! Cause Johnny coached there! LOL
Especially after Stevens mentioned how he didn't do a good job and sounded deflated after the last loss. They were clear cut favor to win the East to start the year and the team never showed signs of that happening.Whoever brought up Stevens might be onto something.
Boston went from dynasty in the waiting to hot mess, no way things aren't shook up.
Hes also the head recruiter for Zeb Jackson and a few others in particular.Yep, I'd be surprised if Coach Yak isn't at least named interim coach. Would be easy continuity as he was the "head coach" for their defense which was a major part of their success the past couple years.
This is another good situation you'd think. Its a great job and could come down to top 2-3 names and then taking a chance on Coach YakI have to think G. Marshall would be a pretty high target and he'd do well there.
I could see Michigan putting a full court press on for Beard. The Detroit News has him as a likely candidate along with others like Brad Stevens, Billy Donovan, Jay Wright (interesting)
Agreed...not sure on Stevens or Donovan, but Beard's buyout is North of $10M. That's steep, even for Michigan...and then you are paying Beard at least $5M a year.Well...no one can say they aren't aiming high if that is actually their list of main targets.
Yup no chance they are paying that considering the new updated contract and buyout he got. There will be other coaches out there that will make a lot of sense for the money. Now is the time they'll really spend money you'd think knowing they don't want to go back to the Brian Ellerbe days.Agreed...not sure on Stevens or Donovan, but Beard's buyout is North of $10M.
