Jon Rothstein is reporting various home-and-home non-conference opponents for universities. Then a comment appeared about Oregon State hosting Iowa State next season. Any word of this, or is it a rumor??

not a fan. That's a game if you win it's no big deal but if you lose it's a really bad loss.

How’s that different than any of the other crappy low major teams ISU schedules year in and year out?

Oregon state went 18-13 in 2018-19 and returns 5 of their top 7. with as bad as the pac 12 is they could be a bubble/nit team.

What games away from Hilton outside the Big 12 do we even know about right now?

Iowa is in Ames this year.
Seton Hall is coming to Ames.

We have the three games in Nassau.
Maybe now we have @ Oregon State.
We might be @ somewhere for the SEC challenge.

...so would those two true road games be it before the conference slate...?

The non-conference schedule seems to be increasingly more important to the NCAA tournament selection committee but it's flawed. . Every year Kansas, Duke, Kentucky, and Michigan St. get to play each other at the beginning of the season and, win or lose, it's a win for each team.

Barttorvik has Oregon State as #84 overall next season.

Expected record of 16-14 and 8-10 and good for #8 in the Pac-12.

That would put them roughly in this range...

...of teams from last season.
