Damn, that is terrible. Always thought he looked much younger than he really was. Unfortunate that cancer has to likely shorten his life significantly.

One of my grandmas died of that. It's an awful form of cancer (not that others aren't) because its symptoms are the same for so many other things that doctors want to rule out those first. And by the time you get to this answer, it's almost always too late to do anything.

Cancer sucks. Good luck to him in fighting it. Always like watching Jeopardy, it'll seem weird with someone else hosting.

Makes me wonder, no one lives forever and Jeopardy is an institution. I wonder who will be hired to replace him some day. It took me a while to accept him when he replaced Art Fleming but now I can't imagine anyone else doing it.

But seriously, this is sad to hear. I also didn't realize how old he was. I hope he can fight this to have years to enjoy after stepping down.
