Good thoughts Chris. Totally agree with "don't be that guy" about Twitter and other social media. These are our players, and we don't know everything going on with them and the team. They should not be called out individually. ISU fans are better than that....loyal, forever true.

I think ISU players should take a few hrs as a team and retweet all the horrible things fans say to them. Kind of like those celebrity "mean tweets" bits on tv.

i can't imagine putting up with that as a mature adult, nevermind a 19 yr old college kid.

True. Perspective people. These are 18 to early 20 year old guys. It seems a vocal minority expects them to win every game, and play a perfect game each time out. And when they don't live up to our expectations, we call them out and label them.

No doubt this team has internal issues, and has been inconsistent, but ragging on them is uncalled for.

When they are playing their best for each other, they are fun to watch. I hope they can fix what's going on, but either way I'll be there Saturday cheering them on.

Dudes should take a lesson from Cole Netten.

Honestly, if I were a coach, I would have a no social media during the season. At the minimum no Twitter. Instagram seems much less harsh and you can turn off comments.

I'm 34, in the public eye with all sorts of perspective. And sometimes the mean tweets hurt me. I cannot imagine being 19 and having that. I'd lose my mind! I'd go total Zach McCabe!

If I were an athlete I would not be on social media at all. Just not worth the abuse from bad d****heads. If you are contacting players via social media and it is not positive stop. Like they want to play poorly or make mistakes on purpose.

If I was the coach I'd make players shutdown social media at least for the season. I know it wouldn't stop them from looking, but it'd have to help.

I don't have a problem with people on here or Twitter complaining about the team or players. But don't DM or tag individuals. Grown men picking on kids, how pathetic.
