baseball season but I am a little pessimistic at the moment about the Cubs this season. Hope they prove me wrong but after last season and basically doing nothing this offseason it doesn't exactly give me much confidence things will improve much.

The Masters generally follows on the heels of the NCAA basketball championship, and then baseball starts. But this year I will be watching my Milwaukee Bucks in the playoffs, too!

All golf until football season (but I definitely haven't given up on basketball, that would be stupid).

I gave up after the 5th loss but that's just me expecting a conference title and Elite Eight and 56 game home winning streaks on the hour.

Wish I watched baseball as I think it's actually a more complicated sport than the other major ones but just never seem to. Same with golf.

Main reason being because after basketball season it's hiking/biking/flyfishing/camping/paddling season for me.

I definitely have NOT given up on basketball. Lots of games left.

I'll watch some baseball, and I always pay attention to the NFL draft.

Big thing for me is umpiring season is starting. Softball and baseball will be in high gear soon. I need to do more games this year for some extra cash.

This is where my focus is once the snow melts. Sometimes before.

Yeah I'm usually out with the tenkara rod during the winter but this particular winter season has made it impractical with how the weather has been...hopefully it clears up and pays off.

It's already started, but Tennis. The Grand Slam events for sure and I'll catch some of the smaller ATP events.

And MLB.

But both are just to help pass the time until CFB starts up again.

A lot of people have given up on MBB with the most recent loss (whether that's correct or not). What's your next sport on which you focus after basketball ends for the season, but before football starts? The 72 months of the NBA? NASCAR? Golf? Baseball?

No way have I given up. A little irritated, but I won't give up on these guys.

I'll be focused on the deep playoff run my Raptors will have this year. NBA playoff basketball is much fun.

MLB until about 4/2 when the White Sox are mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.

Then I switch to MiLB to follow my nephew who is a pitcher in the Red Sox farm system.

Dude. It goes forever. I think they only take a month off.

Just about three months for the two teams that end up in the Finals, I think. If that goes to a Game 7 then the season ends in mid June and players report for training camp in mid September. It's a long regular season but it's the postseason that takes forever to play out. I kind of wish they'd go back to a best of five format for the first round.

The period between end of NCAAT and beginning of CFB, I don't follow any sports too closely. I'll catch a few NBA playoff games in conference finals/finals, check MLB standings every once in a while to see who's good/bad. Otherwise, mostly work on my summer bracketology. :)

I'll have golf or something on in the background if I'm working in the garage but once the weather straightens out my TV consumption goes down significantly.

What's up with the low expectations?

My expectation is generally the Final Four but that depends upon where I am in my recovery cycle after the latest loss.

I watch a bunch of soccer (EPL and MLS, but mostly my daughter). Women's World Cup will be on a bunch this year.

I grew up in a baseball household so a good game will suck me in. If my Twins are competitive, it helps a bunch. Otherwise I'll catch a few Royals games since they've become my adopted secondary team after 23 years living here. If neither are worth a damn, it's a struggle to want to sit down and watch a game on tv for more than a few innings. I love live games at the ballpark though. The nostalgia is strong.

I like to catch the NHL playoffs since those games get so fast and physical.

I'll watch some NBA playoff games if they are compelling, but it's not appointment tv for me. As Monte and other former Cyclones get involved, I'll pay a lot more attention. I need someone to root for.

As I get older, it's much easier to record a game and watch it at my leisure and fast forward as needed, especially ones I'm only marginally interested in.

I just stick to things that happen once or twice in ISU's history and pretend like it's the floor.

Final Four would really get me triggered--what if they lose to a blue blood or legendary coach?

Good point but let's not forget that we made the Final Four once. Yes, I'm counting the 40's.
