But we didn't foul! that is good, right? not fouling? It looks awesome when referees call touch fouls on other team and we hit the crazy 30 foot jumpers....not so cool when it is a Detroit Pistons game.
...this coach and team seem to struggle adjusting to that.
I wonder if this coach had Kenny Pratt and Shawn Bankhead over there on the bench if he would use them to do their thing.

We didn't play physical enough or hustle enough to get any fouls called on us tonight. That's why Baylor wasn't even in the bonus at the end of the game when we were forced to foul. Our guys didn't give even close to enough effort to get called for many fouls.

I am disappointed that we burned our chance at a conference title but I'm really not that surprised at what happened tonight.
1. Jake Sullivan was correct in his analysis of Lindell. He is hot one game and ice cold the next. He needs another season in Ames before going pro.
2. Baylor hit what seemed like every damned 3 point shot they threw up. At some point it just becomes laughable.
3. Mike Jacobsen's effort on the Baylor in bounds play with 2 seconds on the shot clock was crap. Eric Heft called the play on the radio. Mike stood flat-footed and watched the ball go right over head to Gillespie for the dunk. He didn't even put his hands up. We were on a good run and that just deflated the whole place.

This is the worst coached team in ISU history given the talent level

I dunno, they are pretty good on the road. They actually play with more focus on the road.
Normally it is harder to hold focus on the road with all the crowd noise etc.

This team at home, just seem lose focus for whatever reason.

Maybe put them all in a hotel the night before a home game

On the post game interview Prohm just admitted he doesn't know how to control tempo--nice.

What was most disappointing was that we came from behind, took the lead and then fell back again.

Multiple times.

If I would have know ahead of time that the game would have gone like this, I would have spent the evening talking with my wife instead...

Just kidding, I would have gotten a hooker.

To me the offensive rebounding all came from the teams inability to contain dribble penetration. Playing one big hedging out that far on the pick and roll takes what little size is on the court out of the equation. By the time the big gets back into the paint Baylor has inside position and it’s game over.

An adjustment should have been made.

This is exactly the plan. You bring our one guy with size out to the 3pt line or worse when they tell them to hedge it hard. They get to rebound with our one post at half court. That is a mismatch and it shows.

He would rather run 4 guards and get completely abused in the paint and on the boards than make a change. He did the exact same thing in 2016-17, luckily he had Solomon Young to at least give them some inside presence and they salvaged the season. He doesnt even have that now, Jacobson can't compete with Big 12 bigs and Lard cant stay on the floor long enough to be effective.
Yep doesn’t even try for adjustments or try running a play to get a easy bucket when we’re struggling.

Agree with all but Baylor was also open often.

The defense was just bad everywhere and that's not new.

This will be an interesting next 3 weeks.

Announcers commented on Drew’s frustration on one play where his player went under the screen rather than fighting through it. Our guys go under screens all the time. Not physical at all. Especially Wiggenton.

Just don't understand why Prohm won't try a zone defense once in a while just to change things up let alone stop teams from dribble driving us to death. It's like he thinks we can stop dribble penetration when it is painfully obvious we can't.
