We've done a similar thread before... but what online games/sites do you use to kill time?

I used to play The Call of Duty games (the good ones) heavily.

Now that I'm out of college I can't sit still to play video games and haven't touched my xbox in two months. Old people, is this normal?

Trivia Crack on occasion and that's pretty much it.

I was really into COD in college which was the MW and MW2 era and then got into 2K for awhile.

Edit: My buddy just reminded me of how much we got into Punch Out and Super Mario 3 after an evening of beverages.

Some I have on my phone: Two Dots, Golf Clash, Backgammon Live are ones I play a lot. On my computer I play Boggle Bash.

I didn't know Trivia Crack was still around.

I didn't either until recently. They have a second version out where you can "duel" people and just answer questions repeatedly. I like it because you don't have to wait hours or days for someone to take their turn.

I have a bubble pop game on my phone but that is about it there. We bought an XBox on black Friday to replace our broken blu-ray player, allow for a better streaming platform and some games. So far I have Madden, COD and this Train Empire game (don't judge me...it's addicting). I mix it up between those and Netflix usually. Want to get back into reading more but haven't figured out where to start.

On my phone, I still play Pokemon Go from time to time. I also Marvel Strike Force as a time killer. It's still a little bit fun. I've given up on some of the other mobile games I used to play, but those two are still entertaining from time to time.

We got a PS4 a few years ago... for the kids. I don't have a lot of time to play it, but I play Madden a few times a week in an online Connected Franchise league. It's fun to play against other people and not the computer. I used to play the hell out of the NCAA Football games, but some **** named Ed OBannon ruined those for everyone.

Other games I played a lot on the PS3 that I am looking forward to coming out are The Last of Us 2, and eventually Borderlands 3.

I will also play games with my boys. We play Tererria, Minecraft, Star Wars Battlefront, and others.

The last interactive online game I played for an extended period was Words With Friends ("generic Scrabble"). Eventually it didn't work on my browser in Facebook, played for a brief time after that on my tablet. Then lost interest.

I have the Trivia Crack app (and a few others) on my phone, but rarely engage.

If I need to kill time, I typically browse Reddit or Imgur (versus mobile games). Use PC at home for games. 70% of those games are single player. That way I can pause or quit at my leisure. Only multiplier game I still play is DOTA 2.

Personally, I just lost interest in committing that much time to video games. Plus, while I still like them, my mild-mannered self can get so ridiculously competitive playing video games. When I get the free time, I generally prefer something more relaxing.... like watching Iowa State basketball games.o_O

My stages of 'video game' life:

12-17 : friend had a NES and we could play til our eyes bled or his parents told us to stop

17-21 (college years) : didn't have a system so rarely played; also girls and drinking

21-26 : limited responsibilities, some weeks, I could not play for days; some weeks, I could play for days straight

26-34 : married with no kids, played some with friends, some with wife, but not a lot

34 : enter the offspring - any free time became nap-time or errand-time

40 - 42 : daughter old enough to play a few games with me (no GTA-style games of course). still didn't play much because trying to set a good example

post 42 : daughter now plays some (she's not much of a gamer) Fortnite and I realize I'm having to work a lot harder to find games where I can beat her. I rarely play unless I'm playing FIFA with my daughter and want to take a break from the world for an hour or two

I have one crossword style game on my phone. I used to have others, but I felt like my eye-sight was being affected by some of the time spent on some of the 'action' games. I deleted them all and stuck with one I can hop on for 5-10 minutes and then set down with no issue.

I play NBA 2K with some friends quite a bit. They have a mode where you can create your own player and team up with 4 other players and take on another squad of 5 that I've wasted a lot of time on. Had a solid Madden 19 online franchise going for awhile but I think it's starting to fade out with football season almost over. @cyhiphopp let me know if you ever wanna catch these hands

For "online games", mostly Hearthstone. It's my go-to game when I wake up while the fog is leaving my head, and also when I just have less than an hour to kill.
Do you play vs players or the raid things they have? I’ve found it so hard to keep up with the metas.

There's "ranked", which I play most often (you go up and down in rank with wins and losses), or you can play another player in the same way, but it doesn't count for your rank (I play that to test new decks) or "Tavern Brawl" which is a constantly event where there's unique rules or card sets based on the week (or whatever term they choose to do them for).

Each expansion tends to have some single player adventures that can kill time for a little while.

I find it fun just playing and doing the daily challenges for gold (which you can use to buy card packs). I don't like to pay cash for card packs very often (I've probably spent $50 total over the span of a few years) but it's interesting trying to find new combinations of cards that work well together.

We've got openings in my league, but it's getting quieter there too. If you want to switch, I'll put in a good word for you.

Unfortunately, unlike NCAA Football, I suck at Madden so far. I am in rebuilding mode, so hopefully by the time I get my team in shape, I will suck less in actual gameplay. I enjoy team building more than anything else right now.
