If we keep driving the lane and moving the ball, I like our chances in every Big XII game that we have left. Wiggy and THT are tough to get in front of.

Also, a lotta different guys are proving they are capable of scoring lately. That makes us really hard to guard.

Texas is gonna try to beat us up inside. MJ and Lard are going to need to get position early and keep them off the block. Active hands are gonna be our friends because we can turn them over for some quick baskets.

I think the key is going to be the odd match up the each team poses for the other. We need to make them pay for trying to go big at the 4.

Osetkowsky is a pretty good passer so I hope the game plan is to make him take shots. Don’t want us to double team him and leave them open for 3. I don’t know what Texas is shooting from 3 as a team but I have this feeling we will play percentages and leave them open while focusing on Hayes and Osetkowsky.

Iowa State 79
Texas 72

LOL, i can't believe how quickly things have turned around from the Baylor/KSU week. And WVU sitting at 1-7, with their lone win against KU?!?! Douglas Adams was right...

Shutting down Roache from the outside and then not allowing their bigs to kill us on the boards will be the key. Texas has a lot of talent, but they are really struggling to put it all together. The couple of games I have watched them play, they had a ton of unforced turnovers.

We will need to continue to shot well from 3, make our FT's and keep it close on the boards. This is a game we cannot give up 8 to 10 more offensive rebounds to Texas.

MJ, who is already in a slump, could be a huge liability if Texas succeeds in that.

I don't think I'd characterize Jacobson as being in a slump by any means. He's playing well defensively and does so much for us with his ability to switch and hard hedge screens. With Wiggy, Lard and THT playing better someone was going to get loss shots and less points. I know he was O-for last night, but I certainly wouldn't characterize him as being in a slump.

Scoring slump, I guess I should say.
