"Start the bus" chant should begin before the tip off.

I am concerned about Huggies weight though.....he should try a paleo diet or maybe buying one of those peloton spin machines.

Bolden not playing, that really hurts them

Good defender, decent 3 point guy, taking 12 point per game average scorring off a struggling team is a big blow.

Interesting comment regarding the cold and fan attendance from Huggy:

The Mountaineers will arrive during a winter wind chill warning that is sweeping through the Midwest. The high temperature today in Ames is forecast at minus-9 with a low of minus-23.

“We told them to bring a heavy coat. What else are you going to tell them?” Huggins said. “It’s not like they’re going to have snowball fights. They’re going to go from the lobby, to the hotel to the bus and from the bus to the arena.

“I doubt it affects their attendance at all. Their fans are, as we saw in Kansas City the last however many years at the conference tournament, they have great fans

Bolden is one of the two players that seem like a consistent threat (the other one being Ahmad), so that is a big blow. They've been better than they were to start the year, but that's going to be a tough hill to climb, as their huge struggles seem to be on the offensive end (more national "experts" should have seen that coming with the loss of Miles and Carter), and Bolden is one of the few shot makers.

Konate is a big loss, but he is supposed to come back I think and probably will play against ISU in Morgantown, that will be tough.

EDIT: Meant Konate not Ahmed.

He's out too? What happened to him?
Sorry I meant Konate, wont play tonight but will be back when we go there.
On the Tennessee WV broadcast (ESPN) they made it sound like he would be back in a couple of weeks.

I thought he was out the year. but they made it sound like he will play soon.

Boldon has been really good for them in conference so that is a big loss for them tonight. And Culver has been a beast.

Ahmad isn't out but he's only shooting 24% from three on the year. The other forwards (Harris and West) shoot it in the 30-35% range. You don't want to leave them wide open but it will be more about keeping them off the glass.

Chase Harler is their guard we won't want to leave open from three. He's no Matt Thomas but he can get hot in stretches. It will be interesting to see their guard rotation without Bolden. Freshmen guard Brandon Knapper and to a lesser degree freshmen Jordan McCabe saw their minutes increase in the 2 games Bolden was unable to go earlier in the year. Knapper is really turnover prone and McCabe struggles to defend from what I've seen.

Oh really? Hadn't heard that. That is big for them. Will be interesting to see what kind of lineup they go with when he gets back.

Ah, yeah, I thought he was out for the year. He's a guy that can make up for a lot of mistakes on the defensive perimeter.
