A bad call for sure. Saints could have stopped the Rams in regulation, not turned ball over in OT, and stopped the final drive in OT.

Still unsure as to why Peyton didn't call for 3 straight running plays on the Saints' last drive in regulation. Force the Rams to take all their TOs and leave them with less than a minute to operate. For as bad as the non-call was, that play-calling sequence was just as bad.

Because Payton is the type of coach that thinks he’s smarter than everyone else. A lot of the time he is, but there are times when his decisions hang the Saints out to dry, like today.

That was a very bad call at the end. It made up for everything going the saints way the entire rest of the game.

In the end, the saints had plenty of chances to win that game and couldn't do it. So they blame the officiating.

Seems like some in this thread should also be upset the refs missed the face mask call that should have been against AJ that would have given the Rams the ball at the 2 yard line first and goal. Instead they got a FG.

That was a missed call, but not near as egregious as the missed PI. Also, if Rams get a touchdown, puts them up by four. IF everything else happens the same way and the right PI call is made, Saints have a first and goal with a pretty good chance to get a touchdown, which would have put them up by three. I don't think coming back with the face mask argument is reasonable.
