Looks like a bill was drawn up early 2018, but time ran out before they could vote on it. Would have made it okay to take place in casinos.

Same thing happened when they first drew up the new fireworks bill. The following year the bill was signed. So I would imagine it wont be long.

80% of the people that want to do it are already doing it. Just legalize it, generate a little tax revenue and have happier citizens

The Iowa GOP to pull their heads out.

What exactly is there to dislike about this post? @CloneFan4 and @dosry5

I know a few connects to those who worked on putting together the legislation as they asked me questions about how me and others gamble in Iowa. And that fact remains, it’s not going to happen until they do pull their heads out.

It’s a “look at me” political jab. That’s what there is to dislike. I prefer the cave crap to stay in the cave. It’s very cave-ish to blame an entire political party that you don’t support for everything you don’t like. It’s also foolish.

I’m a registered republican, so kind of goes against your narrative. The staunch anti gambling reside more in currently one party over another at the moment.

It was a topic of conversation a number of evenings at beechwood lounge, which those who go there know that many representatives frequent that place while in session.

I don’t see how other states don’t see this and jump on the train.

In a world where we always seem to be in debt, this to me seems like a slam dunk as a way to make some money. Not to mention people do it illegally anyways.

Agreed. I just use Bovada illegally and not for a ton of money each football season, but I would likely gamble a bunch more if I could legally do it via mobile with easy payouts.
