Makes little sense to me. Why not just be closed more days during the week and open on Sunday? I can’t imagine Tuesday at 3pm is a prime time for ice cream.

Yeah, I don't know. Maybe it's just a side project for the owners and that's what works for their schedule. I've heard it's really good, though. I just like that they offer vegan options - my daughter is allergic to dairy.

Black Cat's facebook page says they are looking for part-time customer service help. Hopefully they are trying to expand their hours.

Hate to say it but prepare to be underwhelmed. I like that it's one of few local dining options in Bettendorf but it's overpriced for burgers. The shakes are amazing but more of a once-a-year thing for me. I like that they do different specials every weekend which has drawn me in a couple times (brisket mac and cheese deliciousness). I wonder if the new location will have beer from Five Cities Brewery which recently opened by the same owner.

Seriously? The Quad Cities has something called Five Cities Brewery?

The Quad Cities[1][2][3] is a region of five cities in northwest Illinois and southeastern Iowa,[4]Davenport and Bettendorf in Iowa, and Rock Island, Moline, and East Moline in Illinois. These cities are the center of the Quad Cities Metropolitan Area, which as of 2013 had a population estimate of 383,781 and a CSA (Combined Statistical Area) population of 474,937, making it the 90th largest CSA in the nation.[5][6][7]

For what its worth, Outside Scoop is significantly better small batch ice cream than Black Cat.

Or at least that was the case last summer (last time I had either). Outside Scoop had an ownership change between seasons, but I haven't heard that the quality of the product has changed.

It hasn't. Top notch. Coffee toffee is as good as it gets.

I love Central Standard, probably one of my favorite casual places to eat in the QC's. No problems with the price of their burgers or other food options, but my biggest gripe with them is they are always so damn busy on the weekends that's it's hard to get a table without a long wait unless you go at odd hours. Hopefully the new location in Waukee will have more seating because I could see it doing very well there.

Yep, and Bettendorf was actually the last one to become incorporated so it makes even more sense to have the brewery acknowledge all 5.
