Difference is he was at a mid major and Frans track record of point guard recruiting
...and development.

Idk how any Iowa fan can truly believe this is a positive. I guess he is/was the best of what was left, but still. That has to be rough as a fan.

Happy we have a PG coach like Prohm, and he knowns how to get the best out of his young men when possible.

Guys, no offense because your points are valid but there is already a In-State Rivals forum discussing Iowa recruiting involving Cook and a mid-major roster.
I don't believe it is fair to have those players associated with Prohm/ISU recruits who are all High Major quality. Thanks. ;-)

Well, two visits coming up, so I think so.
Not sure what you think two visits coming up has to do with the possibility of another scholly opening in March? If one of the two commits, the other is either left hanging, or out of luck entirely. If I’m a talented high school (or JC) kid with options, waiting six months “just in case” isn’t gonna work for me.

So the answer is....they can't win either way?

I think we need to remember spring recruiting is a scramble. Teams are not sure about open slots, transfers are becoming available, and it is only going to be worse with guys testing the NBA waters and holding out until the absolute last second. It is not as "clean" of a process with prep recruits where you more-or-less know your openings and have known timelines.

Programs are just going to have to do their best in that scrum.

We are in the same boat as everyone in this.

They are also out evaluating right now. I know for a fact that a bunch of coaches from different places are out at the prep schools scouting kids that might have slipped through the cracks. I would not doubt to see a new 2019 recruit pop up real soon.
