Scored some tickets for the ISU game at Kinnick. Was able to get a block of eight from their online ticket website. I couldn't believe it!! They were in section 138 in the NEZ or should I say the copycat version of JTS SEZ project. Paid with credit card and got a confirmation #. I am still in shock yet over it. Should have the tickets in a couple of weeks.

I noticed they said the concessions and bathrooms wouldn't be completed yet by the start of the season. Does anyone anyone know with the new configurations in the NEZ, where the visitor sections will be? If I remember they do have a section in the SE corner, but had quite a few ISU folks in the NE part of the stadium also as we have been to a few ISU-Iowa games over the years. I figured to get that many tickets, I didn't care where it was.

They've always thrown us in 101 before or that's where I've always gotten tickets through ISU. I haven't heard if they will change it up or not

Visitor tickets will likely be in the top echelon of the north endzone. Bathroom and concession service will not be ready for this fall. Temporary services will be available.

They’ve taken to scattering out visitors to a number of sections. When I was a student they tended to be more concentrated. For that game, you will be near at least a few Cyclone fans no matter where you sit. I would judge Kinnick at 80/20 maybe 90/10 fan ratio for that game.

Last time, I didn't see anything that was truly a visitor's section. Mostly pockets of ISU fans scattered around the ultra-crowded north endzone. It needed to be replaced.

IIRC Iowa scatters visiting fans like 4 or 5 rows deep all the way across the North endzone

Apparently there are still about 1000 tickets left to the game, which is honestly pretty surprising.

If I go, I will probably just get a ticket from a scalper.

So they have 2000 general (smallest number) and 1000 student tix? So they are at 66K?

I'm guessing they have 1,000 tickets available on the secondary market. Iowa's website is only showing single seats.

Calling all Kirkwood students....

I looked at Iowa's website and there are only scattered single tickets left for the Iowa State game. In other words, Iowa State fans have purchased a lot of tickets.

That's great. Welcome to town. Spend your money!

Yes, c'mon on ISU fans. Come to town. Spend the coin. Support the cause.

What is the cause? Pretty sad when you need the visiting team to help "support the cause". Low basketball turnout and now football? Times are a changing in Iowa City I see.
