Huh that's surprising. I'm sure Iowa State was a top choice with ticket sales. Had to been some scheduling issues for us.

No way Minnesota wants ISU coming to the Twin Cities for that game to recruit.
Another reason why I don’t think we’ll be playing any games in Chicago against a local team either.

But yes, from a ticket sales standpoint, ISU would have been a homerun.

As long as we're talking schedules, K-State is doing a home&home with Marquette starting this fall in Milwaukee. Wichita said no to a home&home.

As you may or may not know, Cats OOC schedule was one of the worst this past year, it sucked. Obviously trying to fix that now. But it's hard to get quality matchups.

Probably didn't want to give us any recruiting opportunities from such a game.
Last time we played at the Barn during a timeout they put a shot of Fred up on the video board. Fred was employed by the T-Wolves at the time. Both Gopher and Cyclone fans cheered. The Cyclone fans got the last laugh though because when they found him in the crowd they realized why they had Fred in such a tight shot. He was proudly wearing Cyclone gear.

Believe Weber is from Milwaukee so that's probably some of the reason he wanted to do that match-up..

Yes, Weber going home and they're opening up the Bucks new arena with this game. By the way, the arena looks to have been designed by the East Germans.

As for Wichita, it's a big laugher down here that they refused a match Weber has been after for some time now. They worked hard to try and make it work. But "play anyone, anywhere" Marshall is such a d'bag.

Haha! That, or the Scandinavians.

I agree that it would have been awesome to schedule the Cyclones at the stadium. Like others have said, it was probably scheduling issues, concern about Cyclone fans filling the stadium, or both. Would make great sense from a ticket revenue standpoint.

Wichita will be lucky to finish in the top half of the American this year. Greggggggg only has one guy back that scored a point or got a rebound last year.

Yeah at least KSU like ISU is lucky that the Big 12 is so tough a decent record in the conference gets you in the dance.
