Disappointing for Drake. Disappointing for CSU. As likeable as Medved is, he hasn't proven a thing in his short stint at Drake.

Poor Drake. Any ounce of success and they're reminding they're merely a stepping stone.

Drake definitely turned it around some, but common, Colorado State is reaching here.

Ha! I wonder how Ross Peterson will take it. He’s spent a lot of time gushing over Niko.

TJ maybe? That's a big blow to Drake, they were going to take a step back this upcoming year though

I am surprised by this, but I think Drake loses a lot this year, so could be a rebuild.

I'm not really sure that Drake would be a much better job for TJ. The Valley isn't what it used to be with Wichita State and Creighton gone. Otz is making around $350,000.00 it looks like. I can't find Niko's salary information, but in looking for something comparable I see Missouri State's coach makes around $305,000.

Ride the Mike Daum bus one more year and hope for something better.

I don't know, you have to look out for yourself and your family. I'm not going to judge someone for jumping ship after one year to go back to a place he was an assistant at for 6 years

You do, but something about his rah rah manner when he came in doesn't sit well with me when he jumps at the very first opportunity. I realize it's a different world and he could have been ran out of Drake in two years before he really gets a chance to rebuild, but I'm still not a fan of doing that.

This ^^. CSU is a better job and will give him a raise. If Niko had a bad year at Drake in the next two years he may never get the same opportunity. It is a bad look but, it is probably the right move in the end.

Sorry, if you're bouncing that quickly, it says something about you. Really a reach by Colorado State.

It says I'm the coach at Drake University, in the middle of Des Moines, IA with a very limited fan base who is fourth fiddle to ISU, Iowa and UNI and eventually I would like to coach a real program so I am going to move on in order to build my resume'.
