Keep that train moving east! Difficult one to pin down being only 12 hours from the start. Plus the narrow range this band will encompass. You'll go from nothing to something and back to nothing in as little as 60-75 miles it seems.

So far Omaha has icy streets and a dusting of snow. Radar still shows some potential but it looks like it is going around the city.

Just got to work and 141 and 235 are just wet, Grimes and DM streets are a little slick. Light wintery mix coming down. We’re likely all going to die.

Seems like it moved quite a bit slower, so it got colder faster than they expected. Is that what I am seeing @MNCYWX and @wxman1?

I have been busy at work and with the lower impact around CR I have not kept up on this storm so I will reserve from saying much but the Quad Cities NWS updated their forecast discussion at 7:30 and the first line is "The front is moving faster than the models predicted."

Ames doesn't seem icy at all really, I know the city and ISU have been out for awhile by now but even the side streets and my driveway/sidewalks weren't slippery.
