One of the announcers said they forgot Carroll and that was my first thought - technically now, he didn't win one.

Jimmy Johnson wasn't a head coach at ISU. They botched it, and that's too bad as the quality of past ISU assistants is actually pretty cool trivia. Of course the kick in the bag is that their success has always come elsewhere.

I learned last night that Don Shula was an assistant in the late 50's for ISU. Not a college head coach but neat piece of trivia none the less.

And some of you may get a kick out of this, but to the extent I've put Chizek so far out of my psyche, he didn't even occur to me, and I was kicking myself for not thinking of him. Guess that's really a good thing. Bad memory.
