One small correction: 2003 was the 2-10 year, not 2002. I vividly remember that awful season since I was a freshman that year:(

Really like these articles but they should be called something like 'Looking back with....' because IIRC they spend more time looking back at memorable moments than actually delving much into what the former player is doing or where they actually are...now.

Which is fine--what someone's doing now might just be their own business and the fond memories are what makes it the most interesting, especially their perspective on certain teams they were on, coaches, etc.

Meyer had somewhat of a complicated career. Some memorable wins but some complexing seasons and then the bottom dropping out his last two years.

I know his mom and she told me last week that they were closing on their house in, I wanna say, Eden Prairie.

He always seemed like a good guy. One of my favorites. We haven't had a QB anywhere near his production since he's left.
