On the road...
Good for the boys. It was going to be tough to make it through this regional, so it will be great for recruiting. Nick is playing some great golf. It's really nice seeing the team put some low numbers out there. Tripp and Rueben are the x-factors for this team and when they play well they can compete.

My wife and I got a chance to play with Nick during the ASU Thunderbird Invite "Pro"-Am last year. It was a completely random pairing and he was pumped when he saw my big Cy mascot head cover!(too bad they don't make them anymore) We talked a lot about ISU, his love for this fanbase and how much the new facility has helped the players and recruiting. Great young man with a bright future!

So anyone know how the team and individual NCAA's work moving forward? Looks like there will be 30 total teams?

Right but how many players per team play in the finals? How many total rounds? Is there a round of cuts, etc?

30 teams (5 players each) and 6 individuals play 54 holes. Team scores are a total of the best 4, per round.

Top 15 teams plus 9 best individuals not on a top-15 team advance, and play the final 18. This will determine the individual national champion, and the 8 teams that advance to match play.

Match play will be a single-elimination bracket, seeded 1-8 based on stroke play finish. Each team match will be 18 holes, worth a total of 5 points (1 per individual matchup).

Thanks for the explanation. I'm guessing it would be a huge upset if ISU actually makes the top 15. But maybe Voke can make the individuals?

That's quite the challenge to be a top 8 team through 54 holes, then go through and win the match play event for NC.

Not a lot of midwest on that list.
