Just realized the last 2 movies I watched he was in. Haywire and Edge of Tomorrow.
We're told Paxton underwent heart surgery and had complications post-op and suffered a fatal stroke.
Paxton was in the crowd when President John F. Kennedy emerged from the Hotel Texas on the morning of his assassination on November 22, 1963. Photographs of an eight-year-old Paxton being lifted above the crowd are on display at the Sixth Floor Museum in Dallas, Texas.
That's an interesting part of US history.
I didn't think it was a whales **** honey- Chet Weird Science
I just saw a comment that saidthat he's the only actor in history to be killed by a Terminator, Predator, and Alien. That's pretty awesome.
And he directed it!Sad news. One of the better character actors who was also strong enough to become a leading man in Hollywood.
I cannot remember for the life of me any real stinkers that he was in. Some of his movies, like "Twister", may have been mindless popcorn summer blockbuster type of movies, but at least they were entertaining.
I've mentioned it before on here, but one of my all-time favorite Bill Paxton movies is an underrated, little known gem of a psychological thriller called "Frailty". Holy sh!t is that a good movie. Also starred Matthew McConaughey and one of his "Tombstone" co-stars, Powers Boothe. It might be hard to find, but by all means make the effort to find it.
