Boy did Cole get the last laugh on those dumb-ass knuckleheads. That video is great.

Some of those tweets (wow) are just sad and pathetic.

Hope he gets a job here in the Twin Cities cause we can always use some more awesome young alumni up here.

At least they didn't tweet at him, unless I missed it.

I seriously wonder how many players (if any) actually read the stuff on here

Probably more than you'd think.

Good on Cole for calling out the Twitter idiots. Being a specialist in football is a mostly thankless job that invites plenty of undeserved criticism. Unfortunately, lots of fans only remember the ones you missed.

Way up there
This is great but the bad thing is, the "fans" that tweeted that crap probably still don't think they're wrong. I mean can you imagine how different the world would be if we had won 4 games in 2015,that Toledo kick must have meant a lot to these "fans".

That's actually really funny. I've been an ISU fan for decades now, and Cole is probably the best kicker I've seen in that time span. He has almost cured my flinching during extra points.

Cole Netten was definitely the best kicker I have seen at Iowa State. My time though only goes back to 2002ish when I was old enough to follow. Gonna go out on a limb, but we are probably going to miss him for years to come.

He's been a good to great kicker, and I posted as much on here after the Toledo loss last year and said he just picked a bad time to miss one. I was still pretty ******* pissed he missed that 30 yarder FTW.

His miss was a big reason that Campbell is at ISU, too, for that matter.

For many of you who wanted Rhoads gone, well... This indirectly helped with that. If Campbell is a stronger long-term leader for the program, too, well, even more so.

Thank you, Cole. You were probably our best player last year. Wished we would have had you for a few other kicks in Iowa State history. This is the best, though...

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if 70,000 screaming Hawkeyes suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. I feel something incredible has happened.

The fact Kirk called a timeout to give us another shot -- AFTER A MISS (!!!) -- and then kept right on chewing his gum afterwards was incredible. Never change, Kirk. Way to lose to the worst ISU team in at least a decade there. Cole getting the ball at the end was perfect.
