In mid-January, no single game qualifies as "essential," but winning this would be helpful.

ISU is around the 8/9 line. Next chance to get a signature win is vs. KU. Maximize opportunities this week for true road wins. So far, this team has neither of those.

Does the osu coach look like a miniature McDermott.

Their coach has a very impressive game win percentage. At 99-19, Brad Underwood is on the verge of becoming one of the fastest coaches to reach 100 wins in the history of college basketball. With 89 wins in his time at Stephen F. Austin, Underwood tied Brad Stevens of Butler for the most victories by any coach after three seasons. Currently, Underwood's .839 career win percentage ranks behind only Buck Freeman (.914, St. Johns, '28-31) and Adolph Rupp (.882, Kentucky, '31-34) for the best win percentage ever by a fourth-year coach.

No doubt Underwood is a great coach. But damn the teams he coached against were garbage. No wonder he won so many games so quickly. The Southland conference is terrible. Not to take anything away from how well coached his guys were. Stevens and his Butler teams were beating some big time teams in the tournament and winning in a much better Horizon league.

I like Underwood but his win percentage is going to drop a lot over the next few years coaching against much better competition.

I agree but was looking at some updated stats and his numbers look pretty good for a new coach despite the team's record. I feel pretty good about us going down there but OSU can't be taken for granted. ISU better bring their defensive A-game.

We really need to go down there and play like rabid dogs. Get physical, get after all the 50/50 balls, get after them on defense, while sharing the basketball and making the extra pass. I feel like this will come down to those 50/50 balls as the match up is pretty close.

Agree 1000%. Watching the Texas game, you could see them getting "engaged" when the Hilton crowd got revved up. They need to maintain that mindset for 40 minutes. When they are playing at that intensity, they can be very, very good.

Whoa, Mitrou-Long sitting at 199 career threes. Compare with Forte, who is 17 away from the all time mark held by his alternate identity Keiton Page, who is at 299.

100 more threes?
