Prohm says Lard's arrival is a "mere formality"

I hope he makes it and it all works out, but won't be surprised if he doesn't make it here either. Still have doubts.

I'm as skeptical as they come, but Prohm has been pretty matter of fact recently.

I'm not sure he would use the word formality if it was less than highly probable.

I know it's a dumb and dumber "so you're saying there's a chance" type odds, but how awesome would it be if he showed up, tore stuff up so much in practice that Prohm was forced to play him

Considering the structure of the roster this and next year, picking up a 3* borderline 4* post is going to be absolutely huge, particularly with his size.

Welcome to Ames, Cameron. You'll have the time of your life.

If you have a guy here and now that can contribute, use him. If the odds are 99% that he won't transfer and he will be a good student/citizen/teammate for the next 4 years, then I would maybe redshirt him. Today's players are not guaranteed to stay put - we don't need to stock up on green bananas.

CSP seems to be a pretty straight shooter on this stuff. He doesn't blow it up out of proportion either way, so I'll assume this is actually working out.

However, I wish Prohm would just report the facts and not make projections about what he thinks is likely. We have seen too many "likely" situations turn sour.

Yes, Prohm also seemed to be certain Malou would not stay in the NBA draft.

The NCAA just granted a 4 star PF his eligibility. Offices are open, Lard next?

@EvanDaniels 4-star PF Sam Waardenburg has enrolled at Miami. Waardenburg had his first practice today & plans on redshirting this semester, per source.
