Opting out of forums on the new CF

Is there a method for opting in or out of forums on the new CF? I'd like to dump the Politics forum so I don't have to look at this garbage filling up my favorite sports fan site front page.

People lost their damn minds.

I have selected the opt out politics, but is still shows up....help. Would love and off topic opt out too.

Its takes about 5-10 mins to take effect. Does anyone know if its possible to still go in and look at these forms once you opt out? I like having them off my front page, but would still like to go in and view the loony when Im feeling down...
