this "festival" is the biggest potfest in the country. Kanye was more then likely just too blazed to get on stage until then.

No, no. I am pretty sure it is because Kanye is a talentless hack.

Umm, normally I'd agree if you said rapper x is a talentless hack but Kanye is one of the exceptions to the rule. He's very good writer and rapper.

Live rap sucks in general though, I'll give you that.

Kanye West is pretty much at the bottom of my interest list after his shenanigans of the past two years. Hope they enjoyed the morning show.

LOL at the entire genre (except the Roots, and they don't count because they can play instruments). Any jerk off can babble mush mouthed jibberish over computer noises. No instruments = not real music, imo...

Mos Def, De La Sol, Rakim and many others are very talented. Most of the mainstream stuff is garbage and yes that's coming from someone who in highschool had almost every No Limit Records related cd ever made...:wideeyed::confused:

Kanye is one of the few mainstream rappers I'll listen to. I know some people who saw him in Minneapolis a few weeks ago and said it was a great show.

I was going to go up to that show last Thursday night - he was there with Lupe Fiasco, who is awesome. Couldn't make it due to a meeting for work early the next day.

Anyone going to see Snoop when he's going to be at the Val-Air?

I saw De La Soul at the Maintenance Shop ( I think that was the same weekend when Henry Rollins was at C.Y. Stephens for a free spoken word performance which was hilarious) and they were very entertaining. When I first heard 3 Feet High and Rising I didn't like it but it grew on me.

I'll also throw in A Tribe Called Quest as among the talented. Once in awhile I'll throw on Low End Theory.

I'm in Omaha right now, and they've been pumping that a ton! I found it interesting that 311 was headlining - I'm sure that's probably smart in the midwest, and maybe have Snoop headline on the coasts?

You're saying that "Live Rap" sucks worse than any other kind of rap?

You know that they were originally just going to call it CRAP, but they found out that country music had a trademark on CRAP, so they just dropped the "C", don't you????
