You guys must watch this. It is fantastic.

He gives fun facts (such as 3 were All-Americans in high school), thanks any and everyone (including all coaches' wives by name), brags about the campus (including Beardshear and Howe Halls), wants to be outstanding from players 1 to 105, talks about Zeb Noland, d-line, possibility of departures because of graduation, greyshirting (said "we won't put any player at risk" or something like that), Jacob Park, Joel Lanning as ultimate competitor, Bailey brothers, Tyler Catalina, already had a good day working on 2017 class, Chase Allen (a "wow guy" for whom he watched multiple game films), giving staff tomorrow through Sunday off (to move), his family will come in March after Baby 4, expectations for players (be at class 10 minutes early and sit in the first two rows), and needing Fall camp to know who will play since they are just getting to know the current players now (best players play).

I expect they will show this again on Mediacom tonight and soon have it on the cyclones.tv site (probably with free access since the live one was).

Cyclones.tv will have the Gridiron Club National Signing Day Celebration live from the Sukup End Zone Club at 5:50 pm.

How much room do we have this class? Nick Fett was put on schollie so that takes up one of course.

We signed 30. So with fett and the other walk on that got a scholly we are sitting at 99. That said don't assume that the scholly was for more than a semester. Also am sure a couple will be gray shirts and possibly a sign and place. So we are looking at 10-14 players on our current roster that are likely leaving.

Will the returning players need an exorcism or any kind of therapy to get the "we know how to lose" out of their systems? I feel one could help me after watching the KSU game.

The only way to shake that completely is to actually win games...especially close ones that we always figure out how to lose. Success breeds success. This staff has the right attitude without having actually done it here. That's the first step.

I don't think this staff is leaps and bounds ahead of CPR and CO from a recruiting standpoint but the willingness to use social media, has put Cyclone football recruiting front and center, even during a bball season with huge expectations. So I think its too early to tell if the kids this staff brought in are an upgrade, we can definitely say that this staff is much better at marketing and seems to have a better grasp on what players value when it comes to recruiting.

This could not be further from the truth and honestly laughable. I don't think you realize how much of a diff it is to be ranked oh say 57th-65th and 45th overall. Not to mention the avg player rating being higher and lastly CPR avg around (11-12) kids per class who were rated in the top 150 at their position nationally...this class has 19. And it doesn't include jucos.

When was the last time we signed (5) three star Dlineman in a class? Maybe 10 years ago? By every measure this class on paper is better than any of CPR classes in 7 years.

CPR put his heart and soul into Isu...thank him for that....but this is now the CMC era and it has started with a top 50 class that not many thought was possible in December. And the reason u keep most of staff together from Toledo and guys CMC knew from before? Well this is why...hit ground running.

I told you guys to quit worrying about most of the staff coming with Campbell. If you need any other expert advice about football just ask!:psmile:

Between the players returning and now this class, I honestly believe we WILL make a bowl this year. It may not be a big time bowl, but ANY bowl is progress. If the team gets there, then you're going to see a snowball effect in recruiting for next year. This staff deserves props for this class, and a lot of people have noticed, not just Cyclone Nation. The future is bright, the future is now, thank you to this staff and CPR and his staff for giving this ISU fan hope again.

Guys this is exciting, but I think it is th easy part. Getting 105 players on the same page will take time. I am also not convinced many of these hs recruits will be ready. Campbell loves to red shirt kids to save an extra year of mature, strong play out of players. This staff will not take shortcuts like playing a freshman that may barely hide deficiencies next year and sacrifice a great year, year five. FOLLOW THE PLAN, THE PLAN!

You beat me too it TOLFBFAN.....Not surprised at all (well maybe a little) at what CMC has accomplished in such a short time....

Now we just have to work on scheduling a home and home with The California Golden Bears so I can see the finished product live....

Serious Question...how'd the Toledo recruiting go? Were they decimated?

Just checked on 247. Third in league. Mass had 8 more recruits to be in second. Don't believe their recruits are as good, just more. Western Mich. has been a recruiting beast last 2-3 years. They were first. Obviously, the commits who left for ISU hurt. On the plus side, I believe the returning Toledo roster is as good as three or four of the Big 12 returning rosters. They will be fine because Toledo's plan is ISU's plan.

I know MOST of these recruits aren't going to be ready for the Big 12 yet. I think some will see significant playing time, mostly JUCOs. But with what was already here, the new pieces, the atmosphere, this new staff, and their past success, I fully expect good things ahead. I think a bowl is VERY attainable, and I think we have the staff to bring it home.
