-Des Moines Public Schools cancelled for tomorrow
-Some downtown employers are cancelling work tomorrow
-Evacuations are ongoing in Cedar Falls and Waterloo
-Des Moines Water Works (which supplies most of the metro) continues to operate as normal.

My wife's company, well the downtown location, has done everything to prep for evacuation. They may or may not be working downtown tomorrow. Sounds like it's likely they won't be.

Water is supposed to go over the levee here in Cedar Falls. There's rumors that the levee is going to break. Downtown is already closed... this could get ugly.

I think summer school started this week. However, administration and the clerical workers are in the buildings all summer as well.

I am supposed to close on my house in Waterloo on Thursday. They had to move the closing to a different location because the offices are flooded.

UNI has cxl Basketball Camps and Players are going to help Sandbag and Help with Evacuation

I can confirm that they are evacuating downtown Waterloo. I just spoke with my mom who works downtown and she said they told all of the to leave and it took her forever to get out of the traffic.

Right now, the flood waters are mere feet from pouring over the edge of the river and into the streets. It probably won't get that way without any rain, and in the likely event that it does rain before the week is out, it could get ugly.
