To each his own but I can't imagine living within 45 minutes of Ames and deciding not to come because of this snow (now freezing rain/ice would be a different story). All it takes is leaving plenty early so you can drive about 40 mph if needed and you'll be fine.

This. Just give yourself extra time and you'll be fine. And the main roads (I-35, I-80, I-235, Hwy 30, 330, 20) get constant attention. I drove from Ankeny to CR yesterday afternoon and 330 and 30 already had the salt solution sprayed on.

Take it slow, brake early, give yourself extra time, and you're golden.

You know there is a VERY simple solution right? Just tell your 6yo: "It will be too snowy for kids, but adults can go". Then, call one of your buddies and get to the fricking game.

My 6 year old isn't an idiot, he knows that's a BS excuse.

We need your section full tonight and I know there's sometimes a couple empty rows on these weeknight games. Have them transfer tickets if needed.

I checked the ticket trader out of curiosity and I love it (and also kind of find it funny) that for as many people not going and selling tickets, how many people are snagging up those tickets and how quickly they're being bought. I hope the weather brings out the crazy in people so the atmosphere is on KU game level.

Also, StubHub prices have shot down from over $50 a ticket yesterday to under $20 now.

Not to ruin anyone trying to sell tickets here, but prices on StubHub are starting to bottom out. $15 - $30 per.

I think everyone is just trying to dump them and $20 is an easy going rate given the excess supply. Still a bargain to go to a game with this much on the line
