That franchise has been pretty decent, all things considered:

143-140 all-time

They were closer to 130-100 at one point before they really slide the past few years, and swinging and missing on a Top 10 pick for a QB can do that to any franchise

Compared to, say, a bunch of other teams since the 1970 merger:

Texans 58-90
Bucs 225-329
Lions 265-390

They're bad right now but far from the definition of franchise futility. If anything, they were an above average organization until a few years ago.

Stats are just numbers, they aren't flawed. It's the conclusions people infer from stats that are flawed.

Alaska kind of "cheats" because many of the cities and Burroughs (county equivalents) have merged. So the "city limits" go out into the wilderness countryside for 100+ miles.
