Well the male refs haven't exactly set the bar real high.

Some comments from the article.

1. Says she went to school at Santa Barbara, not sure where she's from but any official not speaking with a Texas drawl gets a thumbs up from me.

2. Says officials don't make enough to live on. It's not a year round job but I would hope that during the season they're making a very good living with the gobs of cash people are constantly talking about the sport generating. If not correcting that would cost pennies for what it could do to protect the quality of the sport.

Only thing that matters is if she is hot which I am guessing is a big no

1. She's only working one game, which is Kansas against SE Missouri St, so this whole thing is fairly overblown.

2. The officials at this level of football are making over a grand per game when you factor in per diem and travel costs. Not sure how much more they need or deserve. The reason they make less total money than some other sports is that they can only work once per week.

I really hope they make more than that. I worked as a camera grip for ESPN during an ISU-Iowa football game when I was a student and I made almost $1000 for two days of work (prep on Friday, broadcast and teardown).

Where do I apply for that job?

Way up there
Big 12 officiating couldn't possible get any worse, glad to see they are throwing around some new ideas.

Aww that's cute... they put an "L" on her uniform for "Lady" how thoughtful :psmile:

That being said, I am all for competent refs regardless of their gender... as was mentioned above... its not like the current stock as been world beaters. New blood (in theory) means less ISU getting screwed over...
