Well, that's not much of a retort. But people around him say he's the best player on the team which includes the nation's best freshman last year, Marcus Foster.

You're certainly welcome to take a shot at how you see it.

Jabari Parker won the award for the nation's best freshman last year.

And the same has been said about Jameel McKay and he's on a team with the "nation's best sophomore last year".

Also, why didn't Foster win BigXII Freshman of the Year if he was the best freshman in the nation?

I'd go this way:

PG Woodard, OU
OG Foster, K-State
F Holmes, UT
F Alexander, Ku
F Niang, ISU

POY Holmes, UT
FOY Alexander, KU
NOY McKay, ISU
Champion Ku

If McKay or Dejean-Jones doesn't win the NOTY, it's because they already won the POTY.

Here's my take:

PG: Staten (WVU)
SG: Hield (OU)
SF: Niang (ISU)
PF: Ellis (KU)
C: Turner (UT)

Second Team:
PG: Morris (ISU)
SG: Taylor (UT)
SF: Nash (OSU)
PF: Spangler (OU)
C: Alexander (KU)

3rd team, too tough to order:
Woodard (OU), BDJ (ISU), Foster (KSU), Edwards (KSU), McKay (ISU), Chery (Baylor), Selden (KU), Oubre (KU)

Jesus H., this conference is LOADED.
