I prefer after- know what you missed up close to buildings/house/trees/landscaping. I also love the look of a freshly edged sidewalk/driveway.

I trim after mowing ... sometimes a month or so after. The poll needs a Rarely Trim option.

I trim before I mow. The reason being that you have all the taller grass laying in your yard/sidewalk. I blow the grass off the walks/driveway back into the yard. When you mow you then mulch all of it up so you do not have to rake.

I trim and edge after mowing. That way I know how far I have to trim the grass along the house so it looks good. Where I live, the grass will grow over the sidewalk (it uses runners to spread), so I am lucky enough to edge weekly (or more) during the summer.

As long as she trims first for that nice bikini line, I am OK with it. But love it when she mows!!!!:smile:

Recently converted to "before". Otherwise I spend too much time trying to get closer than I need to with the mower. Plus, like you said, the mower can blow a lot of the grass off the sidewalk/driveway.

You mow everything you can and then you trim what the mower couldn't get to.

So let me get this straight... The majority of you enjoy looking at an ugly strip of trimmed long grass blades along the edges of your house and property? Trim first. Then mow to chop up all the unsightly long clippings
