First, he refers to the current proceeding as unusual when the reality is that Bubu is exercising a right guaranteed in our Bill of Rights. And Bubu has no other recourse in order to obtain justice. Everyone without an agenda knows this.

I'm not even getting into the criminal stuff...

He is referring to the whole situation as unusual, the fact that he is sueing his accuser and her mother. That is his opinion, and one that he probably shares with 85% of the people in this state.

Now let's hear your opinion on the criminal stuff...

Well I'd say we still had heck of a successful season, so that statement is moot.

oh and maybe Bubu's lawyer shouldn't have agreed to leaths time table on his decision, eh?

The season could have been better. The decision was a very inconsiderate thing to do to a coach. Especially a coach with the skills and success of Fred. The university should be doing everything possible to keep him here, not make things harder on him.

People like Mr. Leath who don't understand the importance of sports are part of the reason ISU athletics have been historically irrelevant. Its time for a change.

That scholarship didn't impact the season, whether Bubu held it or anybody else.

You wouldn't have liked to have had Richard Amardi, another big man available? He was eligible to play from day 1 and played in every game for Oregon including a couple in the NCAA tourney. Remember ISU cut ties with him after Deandre Kane became available.

The reputation of the university goes far beyond winning a game or two more in a sporting season. What a pathetic argument you are trying to come up.

quite embarrassing actually. All parties agreed on the timeline. If you have an issue with it, take it up with Bubu's lawyer. Good lord, you are daft and this is a perfect reason why negative rep needs to come back. The fact you believe what you just posted shows all that I need to know about your intelligence and grasp on reality is.

My TV box is out, so I read this whole thing, and believe me, if I weren't that bored, I wouldn't have. However, I have learned something...and no, it's not the perks of emeritus professors, it's that Bubu threads still continue to be the source of the dumbest arguments ever created.

I never said I was concerned with Bubu or his lawyer. The decision could have been made sooner. That's all im saying.

I do remember that. Could have been nice, but there weren't a ton of minutes for him. We were just fine with or without him.

Let's flush this out. Which right under the bill of rights are you referring? You're expert knowledge of civil and criminal proceeding appears to be a little . . . succinct.

I'm so grateful people like you aren't in charge of the university.

I learned that somebody with 38 years of state work experience thought it was a good idea to email two different places about the same thing, wasting both of their time and our money due to redundancy and the sheer superfluous nature of the question without doing a simple google search to find the answer. Really explains how our government wastes so much time and money. Thank you for the ample lesson.

Wow, did you take your jerk pill yesterday or what?

I don't disagree. Bubu did sign a scholarship renewal in June an AmardI was long gone whether Leath stuck to the original time frame or not. 3 weeks wouldn't have kept Amardi here. It would have meant McKay wouldn't have to pay a semester and that's it.

He would have been nice vs. Uconn. My only beef is that they renewed Bubu Scholly. Should have parted ways in June and been done with it. That is on Fred though and not Leath and I don't fault him for it. Should of and could of oh well.

Great job. You just cited an amendment that doesn't apply to state civil proceedings. your expertise here appears to be in doubt.

It does when enforcing a federally created right, but no matter. Same sentiment is expressed in Art. I Section 9 of Iowa Constitution.

Your prejudice in regard to Bubu is certainly not in doubt.
