What are movies you hate that everyone else loves

Same concept as the other thread, since I can think of a lot more I hate that others love.

For starters, The Goonies. I'm fairly convinced that people just claim they love this movie purely out of nostalgia for being an 80s kid.

Obviously you could go with the Twilight series and such, but I think those are almost hated as much as they're loved.

My other one (and I'll catch hell for this here) is Field of Dreams.

I expect some flaming in here, but what have you got?

Just curious when you were born. I don't think I've heard anyone say they hated the Goonies, but I grew up in the Eighties and Nineties.

I never really understood American Beauty and the hype. All my college roommates couldn't believe I didn't think it was an amazing movie.

I'll say it - Star Wars. **** that entire stupid franchise.
I hear this occasionally.

But back in 1977 (and 1980 with the better 'Empire Strikes Back') The special effects were state of the art and amazing for its' time

I'm also not a Star Wars fan. It just never struck me as a great story, it's the whole "local boy goes out and does good" thing, but with Ewoks.

I'm not all that big of a fan of special effects for their own sake, though, either. Most of the big blockbusters aren't really my thing because they seem to focus so much on the effects rather than the story/acting.

Several already noted that, although I don't 'hate' are definitely not the cat's pajamas. Field of Dreams is one - but I also didn't see it until a couple years after release, maybe build-up heightened my expectations too much.

Iron Man 3 was garbage, loved the first two.
The first two Hobbit movies were a 6 hour build up to see a dragon, then the dragon wakes up for a minute, roll credits. Lord of the Rings was boring too, but the giant battles in the last two were fun to watch at least.
