This question was brought to us by CycloneRulzzz.

Have you had a high school reunion? Did you go? Would you go again in the future?

I haven't gone to mine, not sure if I'll go in the future. It seems like there's not a lot of activity at them.

Yes and yes. Mostly because I have a few really good friends from college that live a ways away and they come back for them. So really it's more of a college reunion. I see all my regular friends from high school enough tthat I don't know I'd go if it weren't for college.

Thanks to Facebook, I already know who got fat. So with that out of the way, not really any need to go to them.

Many of the people I went to high school with are still in high school if you know what I mean.

I brought this up because this weekend is our 15th. For the 5 year there was a family pot luck then a Saturday night event at a local bar. Didn't go to the pot luck and wasn't planning on the bar event because I was a nobody in high school for most part and figured people didn't change. I went to the bar event and found people who never talked in high school talking like best friends. So now I'm all in. Tonight our class is doing a bonfire on a classmates farm, family potluck tomorrow at noon afternoon is misc. activities, and a Saturday night we have a local bar reserved for us.

There were 22 kids in my graduating class. I've been to the 10, 20th, and am headed to the 25th this weekend. For the 20th I think we had 18 of the remaining 21 attend which is pretty impressive since 1/2 are out of the state now. I think it really helped that we were such a small/close class. It's great to see everyone and I wouldn't miss it.

This. I didnt go to my 10 because honestly I still talk to the people I care most about. Some of them went to it and reported that everyone basically sat in their highschool lunchroom table groups. Pretty amusing. My wife and I went to her class's reunion. She graduated a couple of years before me. Her class had a ton of db's in it but most of them didnt show. I was friends with a lot of people in her class...probably more than I had in mine so it made the event more tolerable.

25 yr reunion coming up next month. There is an informal get together in town at a bar on Friday that we will go to, but I won't attend the "formal, have to pay $35 a person dinner and booze event" on Saturday. I went to the 10 year, but that is all.

I went to my 35th in 2011. It was the same weekend as the ISU/UCONN game so I decided to go to both because I wouldn't have gone for just the reunion.
I really only knew about 10 people there and it was actually a pretty good time. There was about 430 in my class so there were people there that I had no clue who they were and they had no clue who I was.

THIS. We skipped our 5 year and would likely skip the 10 year in a couple years too. It seemed like everyone who went (from the FB pics) were people who had never left that town anyway. Maybe I'd feel differently if I had gone there for more than just one class, but my husband doesn't care to go either. The one great friend I have from high school lives up here (and is an in-law now anyway!) so we see each other whenever we want to.

Now if they did a college reunion for the people in my major - I would drive halfway across the country for that!

10 year is this summer. I am tempted to go so I can show off my wife (yes she is okay with this).
