To make this a long story short,
Some of you knew this, Todd Hoffner was relieved of his coaching duties 2 years ago after a child pornography case. It was on a school phone, so it was reported, relieved of his duties. He lawyered up, went on to find out that it was an wrongful firing. the School would have to pay his salary at MSU which was around 100k, and pay his Salary at Minot which was around 90k.

Now here's where it gets interesting. He recently accepted the head coaching duties at Minot State. He wanted his old job back, so he went back to MSU.

His first practice, the players are refusing to practice, they want Aaron Keen (Interim) back as head coach. His results speak for themself. 1 Game away from the title game 2 years ago, undefeated season until getting upended by St. Cloud State last season.

What are your thoughts?

If the players want to quite the football team because they don't like the coach, revoke their scholarships.

I would refer this issue to Steven Leath and the Iowa Board of Regents....they both are very good at figuring out issues like this.

Seriously? I have no problems with the players having a ton of issues playing for the man, who somehow took the job from a very successful replacement.

Sounds a little odd to me. Where they really just pictures of his kids? Sounds like he was a marked man if so.

The pictures were of his own kids taking a bath or something like that. The judge threw the case out IIRC.

Yup, family video he took on the phone that when he went to turn it in to get a new one they found a video of his young kids in a tub/getting out of a tub. I don't really have a problem with him getting his job back, and dragging back out this case that got thrown out is unfair to him and his family.

Wait a second...when did Hayden Fox quit coaching Minnesota State?

This was my thought on it.

Seriously though if you are a coach and the players refuse to practice/play for you...Take a hint. Plenty of college coaches leave when they ARE wanted around - can't believe I am hearing about one who wants to stay when he is not wanted around (at least by the players.)

He was fired for having nude pics/videos of his own children on his phone? Thats a travesty in its self.

Do the players not want to play for him because he is now considered a sex offender in the court of public opinion?

No they don't want to play for him because everyone loves Keen, he is a weird dude in general... but probably because they don't respect him for what he is doing to Keen.

You care enough to post online...

These mental gymnastics remind me of this person:
