Last season we filled a void in the guard court when we got Kane (that was the most immediate need we needed last year) with losing all the backcourt players.

as i look at this offseason i am trying to find a definate need that we need to take.

pg-- monte is back plus clayton custer is going to be hard to keep of court

sg-- naz long, sheron dorsey, matt thomas

front court-- george, nadir, jamal, edozie, dustin

can anybody tell me where we will need an impact player like kane for this coming up season . i mean i know there will be one out there but with what i seen even if we dont add anything this will be a very good team next year

please anyone chime in

A dominant big man is always welcome I think.

In a perfect scenario, wed get another big man that can give some good minutes, defense, rebounding if needed. We'd also get a player like BDJ. A good combo guard.

I hope we get BDJ, then a player with multiple years left. Maybe a FR or SO transfer bigger guy. 6'7 +

I'd be okay with another big man or SG but like you said it's not exactly a 'need' at any position. Also one other thing we should have next year that we didn't have this year....the all important derpth!

If we got a player as good as Kane, we'd take him wherever. Even play 2pgs with Morris if we had to. Assuming it's just a Big 12 starter quality transfer rather than all-conference, we could use another front court player and another shooter.

There isn't a need at any position. Hoiberg will certainly see what he can get with transfers, but if he is unable to get guys who will contribute in the rotation they'll still be fine.

I'd say the closest thing to a "need" that we have is a veteran shooting guard/combo guard. I'd be really happy with getting a Jake Anderson equivalent to transfer in.

Able to play next year:
1. Physical combo guard
2. Another rim protector with face the basket skills

Sit a year and play two or more:
3. SF to fill the Ejim/Hogue role

That's my wish list, we'd have ten guys competing for the rotation plus Edozie in the roll he had this year and one player redshirting. (yes I know that's one more scholly than we have open)

A combo of

1. Combo guard
2. 3 pt specialist
3. Stud big

Have one be able to play immediately, and have the other wait.

The difference between last off-season and this off-season is that last year we weren't really sure how good we were or whether we would ever be that good again. Thus, it hurt wondering if we would be back. This year, we knew that we were good. And even though we lost, we left the court knowing that we would return.
