That is not even close to what it is referring to. Ollie is all about "taking the stairs" which basically means working hard and not taking shortcuts to success. Our "trash" basketball program has accomplished more than your school could ever hope to.

I know this is a business trip and trust CFH is keeping the guys in check and remembering it's ONE game tonight...but how exciting for these guys..look at all of us, just salivating at the thought of a final four!
I was talking to a coworker today...the elite 8 run of 2000 really still serves as the "talking point" of ISU basketball in the modern era....that really shows how special this team is.
I know this is a business trip and trust CFH is keeping the guys in check and remembering it's ONE game tonight...but how exciting for these guys..look at all of us, just salivating at the thought of a final four!

I don't see what your programs past accomplishments have to do with the game tonight? I'm sure it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside but when that ball is thrown in the air at MSG tonight none of that will mean a damn thing. It certainly didn't in 2012.

SN13 is right. I could see how the Cyclone players were too intimidated to even step on the floor against North Carolina. All of the tradition, the championships, the legendary players, etc... You could see the fear in the Cyclones player's eyes as they knocked down clutch shot after clutch shot. ISU will be totally star struck when they step on the floor tonight against UCONN... that much is obvious. 
Your team finished, what - third in a weak AAC and didn't win the conference tournament? Iowa State finished tied for third in the Big 12 and won the conference tournament. And you claim UConn accomplished more this year?
