Unless I am mistaken, Melvin Ejim now leads all players in ISU Men's Baskeball history in the following categories:

  • Wins (88)
  • NCAA Tournament Wins (4)
  • NCAA Tournament Games Played (6)
  • Games Played (134)
  • Games Started (125)

They'll probably wait about 10-15 years. But Ej joins Fizer and Tinsley on the waiting list now. Lock it in.

Does anyone know where he ranks on the all time scoring list for ISU? He has to be getting close to 1st.

Yep hang his jersey in the rafters. Probably my favorite clone of all time. He's earned it.

Does anyone else think it's kind of pathetic that our all time leader in wins is at 88? Don't get me wrong we've been great and I'm having the time of my life right now, but I would have thought that someone had to of averaged more than 22 wins a year over their career. Thats not that many.

Ejim is awesome. Hang it.

I put him ahead of Fizer and Tinsley. He's a 4-year guy with less natural ability who did it the hard way.

The only thing I can think of to help explain it is that up until recently most teams didn't play as many games as they do today. No team had ever started 35-0 before the shockers did it, but there were undefeated teams before.

I'm not sure it was any harder than Fizer. Fizer turned down a sure fire NBA contract to return for ISU's greatest season ever his junior year (unless we win the next two games then there's a debate).

Tinsley probably wouldn't have been drafted after his junior year because he was just emerging late in the season as a national star so it's not like he ever turned down a guaranteed NBA career to stay at ISU longer.
