Would you rather win your bracket pool, or have your favorite team win the tourney?

To me, not even close. Typical bracket wins maybe 100 bucks. I would much rather the Clones win it all. Dan Patrick said he'd rather win his bracket.

Depends, is it the billion dollar Warren Buffett pool?

Because, don't get me wrong, I love the Cyclones. But...

Billion dollar bracket no question. Donate $100M to athletic department as an apology.

I would give a lot more money than I'm willing to admit to see ISU win it all.

I think most would rather have ISU win the tourney than win your average office pool pot. The better question is what is the tipping point for winnings where you would rather win the money than ISU win?

Forgot to specify. They said, "forget the billion dollar bracket". So, no billion dollars. Just typical office pool stuff.

Great question, and I was thinking about this as well. I honestly have no idea what I would be "willing to give" to see ISU win it all.

I'd take a billion over ISU, but winning my bracket is a lot further below ISU winning it all than ISU winning it all is from the billion.

If I won the 1 Billion, I would make sure ISU had very nice athletic facilities... and would make sure their coaches are fairly compensated.

And then, I would donate $1.8M a year to Iowa so they can keep Francis around. I love what he's doing to their program.

My initial thought was like $10K, but then I realized that seems kinda low. I mean that would be pretty selfish of me to take $10K over watching ISU win it.

When taking others into consideration, I think 50K is doable? 100K?

If it is office pool or virtually any other pool, ISU wins all the way. No question

Yeah, typical office pool is maybe a $100...$200 if it's a really big one. I probably spent $1,000+ just to watch ISU win the conference tourney, so yeah, I'm betting that pretty much all ISU fans would pay $200 to see ISU win it all.

I think it comes down to whether or not you really have a team. I know hardcore sports fans who don't really have an emotional attachment to any particular squad (which seems odd to me, but they definitely exist). If you root for a team, you'd probably rather them win. If you don't, you'd probably want to win your pool.
