What are the NDSU fans going to do when they get upset in the Summitt league tourney by someone and UND happens to upset Weber St. in the Big Sky to make the dance. Because upsets never happen in conference tournaments or March in general.

If this were to happen, I'm buying shots for everyone in the Bulldog Tap in Fargo.

You should stay home and save yourself the embarrassment.

This is a Cyclone football forum and we're getting info about the North Dakota State basketball team and promises of updates on the Summit League (Summit League?!?, what the hell's that? not that I care, it's like wondering what kind of insect a bug is) basket ball tournament? Cmon! What do we gotta do to get rid of these guys? They're worse than crabs.

With the purpose of the thread to keep Iowa State fans informed about NDSU and its football team leading up to the big game in August its all relevant.

NDSU strength coach is nationally renowned as is his coaching staff and methods. We will have a very strong team well versed in the execution of the fundimentals.

So just like 99% of all other Division 1, 2, & 3 teams?

You mean like spelling.....

HOUSE KEEPING:

No, the spelling error was my fundamental mistake. The team will practice and be proficient at the basic skills including running, tackling, blocking, throwing and catching the football, punting and kicking. Our players will get the best diet because we are a mighty land grant university.

GAME ANALYSIS:

So far things look pretty even. Iowa State might have just as good food and may even be as good at the fundamentals of the game?

In Manhattan things werent so good. They werent as good at the fundamentals, they didnt get the best food and they werent in the best physical shape. After that. things like coaching and arrogance kicked in, pretty much sealing the fate of a football team that thought they were inherently superior.

That was the same team that a few weeks later beat Iowa State by 5 TDs on the same glorious field that had opened only weeks before to the Thunderous cheers of the fans of the NDSU BISON as their team marched off the field in victory. It was a great day in BISON Lore.

I dont mention that to brag but that is a key point in setting up the stats. I think it speaks to a very conservative adjustment, if any, when considering the statistics of these two teams. Lets say we use the combined stats for the common opponents last season as the starting point for this years analysis?

TICKET NEWS:

Section G has now opened up. The stadium is begining to warm up to visitors. I know a lot of hotel rooms are already booked as well. If any of you are expecting guests for the Big Game you might want to get a room now, if you need one. The BISON fans will fill up the town. Same for dinner reservations etc. Just a heads up!

I have not read all of this thread, because I just don't care, but I read enough to see that you've mentioned "Land Grant University" at least twice. Maybe this was already covered, but Iowa State is also a land grant university, and this has nothing to do with diet unless you are hunting your own food on the campus. I think that would then be poaching. I don't know, Like I said, I really don't care enough about this game yet. I know enough to take you guys seriously and I know ISU will be plenty ready.

ISU 1,984 acres > NDSU 284 acres. ISU wins the battle of land-grants.

What does being a Land Grant University have to do with football players' diets?

And in case you didn't know, you should read about Iowa State University and Land Grant Universities, ISU is a pretty big deal when it comes to Land Grant Universities and the Morrill Act.

Both schools are Land Grants. As a result we are ag focused. We have good food. Key for NDSU now is the game plan. BISON coaches are at the hall of records night and day searching for that elusive idea, the spark that will ignite to victory on the grid iron.

Tonight at 8 pm. NDSU BISON play for the Summit League title on ESPN 2. Last I looked even if we make it to the tournament we could only meet ISU in the national championship. We seem to be in with Iowa though.

Good luck to Iowa State.

I thought the Hall of Records was in South Dakota along with the rest of Mount Rushmore.
