After this 3 game losing streak we have been on, I want to see what the new predictions among us here at Cyclone Fanatic are now. I think 10-3 optimistically. We lose @OSU,KU, and either @KSU or @Baylor. I don't get the feeling we lose both.

Sorry, I didn't post what I meant. I wanted to say what will it be when we reach the tourney, not how we will preform in it. Sorry. My mistake. How do I change the thread name?

I want to say 23-7 but it will probably be 22-8.

A little too early to predict, IMO. These guys have the talent to go on another long run if things get fixed, but the psyche is hard to predict, so maybe some doubts linger...

In the long run, I think they'll get their mind right and come out of this stronger than ever. It's certainly better to identify weaknesses now with ample time to work on them, than further down the road. This year will make Fred a better coach, that's for sure. He's still pretty new to the game with a lot to learn.

Doc's helped a lot with improving defensive consistency and intensity, and if you play good defense, you can stay in just about any game.

I still think we finish 3rd in the Big 12, so I'll say we win our first game against #6 seed Baylor, but lose the second to #2 seed Oklahoma State, who we would have just beaten less than a week before at Hilton.

1 - KU
2 - OSU
3 - ISU
4 - OU
5 - KSU
6 - BU
7 - UT
8, 9, 10 - who cares

Closing the remaining games of the season with a 7-6 record. Wins at home vs. KSU, OU, TCU, Texas Tech and West Virginia and on the road @TCU and @West Virginia. Losses at home vs. Texas and Oklahoma State and on the road @Kansas, @Oklahoma State, @Kansas State and @Baylor.

We might lose a home game to OkSt, but no way we lose any other home games.

We will also lose on the road to OkSt, Kansas, KState

I really don't see a loss at Hilton to UT. The rest of that is a reasonable estimate, although I think we nab one of those four road losses or OSU on Senior Day at Hilton.

@CyTwins We've done nothing to guarantee a home win against Texas, OU, or KSU. OSU is also experienced enough I don't see them being a cake walk in Hilton either.

We've lost to one team in the past two years at home. Do you know how many ranked teams we've beat in that time span in Hilton? I don't think we lose one more home game all season but we for sure won't lose two

Careful Twins, this is the kind of post that could end up in someone's signature. :jimlad:

I don't want to lose at home either but the fact is the Big 12 is a heck of a lot better than last year. Texas and OU are playing much better ball and games against them won't be "gimme's" especially since they already beat us once.

No game in the Big 12 is a gimme, just saying we won't lose three games at Hilton this year

I disagree with the Texas home game. I get the feeling Texas is what Iowa State was last season. Great on their home court, but I don't think they will win on the road too often. It's debatable though.
