NCAA championship is pretty bold prediction, but I do think ISU could make a deep tourney run. Getting favorable matchups obviously key. Not easy, necessarily, but avoiding teams Iowa State doesn't matchup well with. eg Kansas, Arizona. Kentucky would be a bad "early" matchup for ISU.

Too easy, you say? Well, the Magic Eight isn't allowed to be too obvious, and thus cannot simply regurgitate Nos. 1-8 from the AP poll. A few risks need to be taken.

• Arizona - AP #1
• Wisconsin - AP #3
• Syracuse- AP #2
• UK - best recruiting class (a la 2012)
• KU - 2nd best recruiting class
• Florida - AP #7
• ISU - AP #8
• MSU - AP #4
