I always hate watching interviews with him because it always makes me feel like we don't have a shot. I know he talked good about us and Fred in particular, but he also talks up UNC, Kentucky, and UNLV too. Arrrgghh.

It has to be tough for us to compete with Kentucky and KU's brand new athletic dorms too. Frustrating.

Selden, Embiid, and Wiggins are all gone. They'd be stupid to stay.

Didn't see his face light up in a smile when talking bout the other coaches. He also gave more information re: ISU's NBA style of play and Fred is a great coach. Didn't mention anything re: the other coaches other than he has a "good relationship" with them. Still, only Rashad knows for sure.

KentuckySports.co contributor and recruiting chairman for the Kentucky Derby Festival all-star basketball game Mike Gandolfo(@DerbyBBClassic) just wrapped up an interview with 2014 prospect Rashad Vaughn.

Maybe there were other reporters, I don't know, but there were definitely UK reporters there..

I almost felt like Rashad had to stop himself after saying he thinks Fred is "one of the best coaches." After saying that he paused and then corrected himself by saying "I mean he's a good coach" similar to what he said about the other coaches. Seems like he is trying not to reveal anything as to who the favorite is but slipped up a little bit.

Probably over analyzing but its another thing to think about.

That could be it. I kind of got the impression that someone distracted him because he looked off to the side, and that is why he paused and started laughing in the middle. But yeah, obvious over analyzing going on....

KU's new $17 million dorms won't be opened for a few more years. They just approved the project to move forward.
