updated expectations for next yr?

I had us at 6-6 or 7-5but with the Mangino hiring I think that completely changes things. I see us at 9-3 with losses to Texas, OSU and either Oklahoma or Baylor. Think we can upset one of those last two and not counting out a Texas win either. That would be an awesome season for us. What a day!

I would take 6-6 right now. Mangino will make a difference but we needed help to get to 6-6. Now, after next year, things may get interesting. Schedule just doesn't line up for us well next year.

I say 8-4. I still think we would have been at least 8-4 in 2012 with a competent OC. Probably would have gotten at least 7 wins last season with a competent OC.

I wish our schedule was flipped. 6 of the first 8 are going to be really tough.

I see 8 winnable games so I'll say 6-6. I don't like our chances @Iowa, vs Baylor, @OSU, or @Texas.

Hopefully our entire staff sticks around for 2015 and we can have a special year.

we'll go to the national championship game. This will make the NCAA not-happy, because we're not in the B1G or SEC, so, in an unprecedented move, Iowa State will face both Ohio State and Alabama in simultaneous games in adjoining stadiums. Iowa State will beat Alabama 187 - 3, and beat Ohio State by a much more confusing 38 - Tom Herman.

We will be awarded two national championships for the wins, but for reasons unexplained, the record books will show us as sharing both of the championships with Michigan and LSU respectively.

This is my expectation, not a prediction.

And while I'm trying to temper my expectations, I feel this is the absolute least I will expect from this team. If they do better, I will be happy to eat crow.

I am optimistic but lets at least get through signing day and into spring camp before we start this up. Getting Mister to recommit would put an adaptable weapon in the hands of Coach Man and make a huge difference. But losing Farinok is huge and the offensive line is where we will need the most improvement and consistency next year to see a strong improvement... Mangino is good but not a miracle worker, and fixing our problems will take more than a year...lets not get ahead of ourselves here.
