I had already forgotten about that play. The game was so long and so much happened after that play. But you're right, that was THE play that turned this thing around. Without that, we lose IMO.

Of course, we would have lost without Rohach's conversion on the slant on 4th and 5 also. He sure did make some huge throws when he needed to tonight.

I remember an interview with Kirby after one of his fake punts and he stated something to the effect that he wasn't a fan of running or getting hit. I thought that was pretty funny from a punter. No doubt he was excited today. He's going to be missed.

It seems like Kirby is perfect on fake punts in his career. I can't remember him ever coming up short on a fake ever. Best fake punter in the country.

I love the stat. there's no reason the offense can't have similar success.

Great run on the punt. This was similar to Nebraska's fake against the Hawks yesterday except for the fact that Kirby executed it well and it was run into a safe return coverage, not after a timeout when the D was looking for a fake. CPR made a good call on this one and our guys executed well. Great Play! Go State!
