Both teams appear to be more offensive oriented. We play @BYU and a week.

BYU is looking pretty good early on. With it being a road game and it being some of our guys first ever road game, I just hope we split between Michigan and BYU. Would not surprise me at all to be 4-0 or 2-2 after those two games.

If we beat Michigan sunday and then @BYU on tuesday we are definitely in the top 25. Yep I said it. Kool aid anyone?

I have thought BYU would be a loss form before the season started. BYU is always a good team and they are extremely tough to play on their floor. If we win that game I will be extremely wowed.

My question is... are you going to freak out and post 98 times about how much we suck if we lose both of those games?

I hope we win 'em both... but I doubt we do.

BYU is a smart, disciplined team. They are going to give our boys one hell of push, especially in their house. Only place you will find rowdy Mormons.

BYU taking this whole fouling thing pretty difficult. Stanford was in the double bonus with 10 to play in the first half.

I don't see what bagging on a poster who is not satisfied with the current dumpster fire state our football program is in accomplishes in a basketball thread.

Stanford looks lost. Don't know if BYU deserves a lot of credit for that or if Stanford isn't very good.
I don't really know how good Stanford is but they did get 3 votes in the AP poll. (We got 0). So obviously they have some expectations.

Root for BYU. Stanford should be at least within top-100 RPI this season, so BYU could get decent-quality true-road win. Anything positive added to BYU's body of work increases merit of ISU-BYU result.

Other notable non-league matchups for Cougars: at Oregon, vs. Texas, at UMass.

Our guards will definitely need to be ready to stop dribble penetration against BYU. They are getting into the paint at will.
