Reid Travis to Stanford

Im hearing exact opposite on the 1500 KSTP. Literally 2 seconds ago they said he will be a gopher. Will be interesting to see who is right.
With only 1 committed I'm not willing to be as confident. But that one's got to smart.
They've had a bad couple years but they were rocking under Mike Montgomery who also has done very well at Cal.
I think he was their best shot at one. I'm saying with 97% certainty, that they go 0-3
I watched the words come out of his mouth (via stream) so I'm pretty confident he picked Stanford.
if you're a DI athlete who's serious about academics, I can't think of a better place than stanford. a $250k education for free - not too shabby.
Stanford had some real nice teams in the Casey Jacobson - Mark Madsen glory days. Dawkins' seat is starting to get a little warm out there, they haven't even reached the Trent Johnson levels under him.

So what happened to Duke on this one? I don't remember them signing anyone else over him.

Definitely not a bad choice. But I'm sure I could come up with some sort of spin if we were in the mix.
I should feel sorry for them, but after the whole Hoiberg thing last spring and them not thinking we have a shot at Vaughn, I am kind of going to enjoy this. I don't expect them to think that we are the favorites or anything like that, but most of them think that it is insulting.
On a less petty note, it is good for Iowa State if little Pitino doesn't get a stronghold in that state.
Don't know, but the conventional wisdom was that he would pick Minnesota the last week or so. Some Minnesota newspaper guy even tweeted that it was going to be Minnesota since he wouldn't plan the announcement (for the public) for the day of Minnesota's opener. That was funny since we know all too well that has happened to us.
